  • Registered business in Nigeria, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kenya, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh or Indonesia
  • Expressed interest in improving nutritional quality of food

  • Adequate manufacturing machinery (good operating condition, quality assurance/quality control equipment, etc.)
  • Training plan inclusive of food fortification standards and procedures
  • Utilization of adequate manufacturing practices
  • Product samples available for testing
Starter level +

  • Identifying fortification or nutrition brand on product packaging
  • Gender equity plan detailing opportunity and access for women
  • Proof of quality premix used in fortification process
Practitioner level +

  • At least 50 percent of produced brands meet national fortification standards
  • Commitment to contribute to technical workshops and other food fortification support activities
  • Participate in one or more national or international food fortification events
  • Participate in a minimum of three technical workshops or other food fortification learning opportunities
  • Fortification Index* participants must attain a minimum score of 65% across the 4PG framework
